CHALLENGING EXTREMISM

 

THE GOT-NAOMIE 11-25 ‘TRAINING THE TRAINER’/RAISING AWARENESS WORKSHOP FOR CARDIFF YOUTH WORKERS/THIRD SECTOR

 

 

1)Fantastic workshops.

 

2)Excellent, in-depth training, highly informative and thought provoking. Guest speakers were a great addition and I would love to do further courses of this nature.

 

3)Thoroughly enjoyed the programme; great resource for us to use.

 

4)I feel that the resource will be excellent for use in the Youth Service. However, I feel that before youth workers participate in delivering they should have the training.

The training quality was excellent and the resource pack is equally good and user-friendly.

 

5)I feel that the training over the past two days has given me more knowledge of the problems we face in society and more importantly my own community.

I believe I am more confident to approach this matter and feel that I am able to follow the procedures and know what referral process needs to be taken. I am very thankful for this opportunity.

 

6) Programme would benefit the Youth service………..It would definitely help raise awareness.

The quality of the training was very professional, but more time – (maybe three-four days) would be beneficial.

 

The programme folder is an excellent piece of work that can actually be delivered as a whole project or in sections. It is very obvious that a lot of work, research, skills and knowledge have gone into the making of it.

 

7)I think it was a great training experience.

There was a wide range of material used.

I learnt a lot, especially about Far Right Extremism.

I now know when is the best time to put in prevention processes.

I like the fact it was not based on just Islamic extremism and Islam was shown in a positive way as well as the negative media aspects.

I do think that YWs should work together in delivering workshops to add support if needed.

 

8)Great resources & pack which I can refer to in relation to my role which will help significantly.

Training was great, varied & inclusive for everyone.

Fantastic tool for youth workers & those involved in school age young people & young adults
