GOT 3 11 - 25 Youth Programme for use in informal settings
A fully resourced interactive programme of 10 modules delivered through the NAOMIE template: Facilitates self-exploration and rationalisation of thoughts and feelings around extremism in today’s society within a safe and informal environment.
GOT 3: WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
W.1. To help young people understand why they form their feelings and emotions about themselves and others.
W.2. To help young people a) understand what extremism is and b) how to express their opinions legally and
productively.
W.3. To help young people understand how marketing can affect people's emotions and opinions.
W.4. To help young people reflect on their understanding and knowledge of extremism.
W.5. To help young people understand that there is no definitive description of an extremist.
W.6. To help young people a)understand the grooming process and b)examine the appropriate
action to take should they suspect themselves or another was being groomed.
W.7. To help young people to express their feelings without breaking the law.
W.8. To help young people understand and deal with local issues leading to extreme behaviour.
W.9. By reference to previous workshops, to help young people identify and demonstrate their learning.
W.10. To produce an appropriate counter-narrative message for use within their local area.
