Community Programmes in South Wales (See EVENTS tab)

  

2-day workshop originally developed in conjunction with Welsh Assembly Government and South Wales Police for key community stakeholders. Delivered throughout South Wales at Cardiff, Newport and Swansea early 2010.

Feedback to community programmes in Cardiff, Newport & Swansea:

 

·       WAG/South Wales Police and GOT have demonstrated their ability to organise and deliver joint training of high quality, which met the aims and objectives set out and which deal with highly sensitive issues.

·       It is evident that the GOT programme has a role to play in community education and building community cohesion. Mr Munir Zamir noted that the (GOT) programme was unique in the UK in his experience.

·       The importance of the leadership of the two Community leaders - Sheikh Mohamed Abdi Dahir and Dr Abdalla Yassin Mohamed OBE cannot be overestimated. The opportunity to benefit from this should not be wasted.

Combined:

·     This has been the best effort that has been made in order to get various organisations, sectors, individuals together to start working collectively towards the same goal. Very well done and congratulations!

·      The format of the training (day gap in between) worked well as it gave a day to reflect on Monday’s session – Both Sheikhs were amazing – learned so much.

·      ALL CONTENT PITCHED AT THE RIGHT LEVEL!! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL!!
